SPORT FOR CHRIST

JOHN 1:7
(MKJV) ‘This one came as a witness, to bear witness concerning the Light, so that all might believe through him.’

(HKB) ‘ Ez jött tanúbizonyságul, hogy bizonyságot tegyen a világosságról, hogy mindenki higyjen õ általa.’

(GLB)  ‘ Dieser kam zum Zeugnis, daß er von dem Licht zeugte, auf daß sie alle durch ihn glaubten.’

The day Jesus entered my life; I became part of an extended family.  Just as the people from the New Testament had a great passion, I do as well.  Their main purpose in life was to proclaim Jesus over the world, and that is what Jesus has called Justin and me to do.
Only a third of the world’s population are Christians.  Another 1/6 has heard of Christ, but has no formal ties with Christianity.  This means that a large number of the world’s population have never heard of Jesus.  Our work to be living witnesses to Christ has just begun.
Yesterday, we hosted our first Sport Outreach at Nahoon Beach in East London.  The beach was quite empty due to bad weather earlier in the day.  The Lord blessed us with a rain free afternoon, to spread the good news of Jesus.
A number of friends and family arrived to join in the cricket match.  A father and his sons, walking on the beach, joined us and the boys enjoyed it thoroughly.  I also had a chance to play, and shocked myself when I actually managed to hit a ball.
During ‘tea break’, Lucian (our evangelist) brought a personal testimony.  The message was clear; Jesus is knocking on your door today, open up and let Him in! He want to part of your life, He want you to be part of His extended family.  Do not let this opportunity pass you by, act now!
2 Pet 1:1 ‘I, Simon Peter, am a servant and apostle of Jesus Christ. I write this to you whose experience with God is as life-changing as ours, all due to our God's straight dealing and the intervention of our God and Savior, Jesus Christ.
2. Grace and peace to you many times over as you deepen in your experience with God and Jesus, our Master.
3.  Everything that goes into a life of pleasing God has been miraculously given to us by getting to know, personally and intimately, the One who invited us to God. The best invitation we ever received!

‘God does not only call the able; God enables those whom He calls.’ Richard Parker
Thank you to our Heavenly Father who has enabled us to do His work.  Thank you to our wonderful support team members who gave up their time to assist us in this great task.  Thank you to Justin and Cara for your love and guidance.
God Bless!!!
