WILTING FLOWER

Read: John 15:1-5

'I am the True Vine, and My Father is the Vine dresser. Every branch in Me which does not bear fruit, He takes away.  And every one that bears fruit, He prunes so that it may bring forth more fruit.  Now you are clean through the Word which I have spoken to you.  Abide in Me, and I in you.  As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself unless it remains in the vine, so neither can you unless you abide in Me.  I am the Vine, you are the branches.  He who abides in Me, and I in him, the same brings forth much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.' (Modern King James)

'Én vagyok a szőlőtő, ti a szőlővesszők. aki megmarad bennem, és én őbenne, az azonos kihozza sok gyümölcsöt mert nálam nélkül semmit sem tudsz' (Hungarian Karoli Bible)

'Eu sou a videira; vos sois as varas.  Quem permanence em mim e eu nele, esse da muito fruto; proque sem mim nada podeis fazer.'

It takes a long time to cultivate a beautiful rose.  When the tree is planted, water and food is sent from the roots to the branches and eventually to the little rosebud.  The rose will never be able to form without the stem and the roots.

Then, we pick the rose.  It looks beautiful and smells wonderful.  Unfortunately within days, the rose wilts away, loose its smell and show no signs of life.

Jesus is the grapevine and God the gardener who ensures that the branches bear fruit.  Everyone who follows Jesus are His branches.  The true Christians bears lots of fruit, and resembles the fertile branches.   But those who bear no fruit will be removed from the grapevine.

How do we stay attached to Him?  We have to read His word every day.  We also have to be obedient, and pray to ask for the Holy Spirit to live in us.

Always hold on to Jesus, and bear lots of fruit!

God Bless!!
