I received this message this morning .... very fitting for my thoughts and feelings today. I was about to make an irrational decision. Do you listen and hear when the Holy Spirit speaks to you?
I can do everything through Him that gives me strength (Philippians 4:13)
There are times in your life when you wonder how you will survive. For days you think about how you should handle a situation, and you wonder where you will find the strength to do what needs to be done. The crisis can arise from a variety of situations. There may be a long-term illness or death in your family; perhaps a crisis is related to your business or to a financial setback. You may be required to make a significant decision that could change your whole life. Or you are called upon to undertake a task of which you don't have the ability.
In such circumstances people often surrender to hopelessness and anxiety. This hopelessness and anxiety can take on such proportions that you can soon become completely powerless. And then you no longer have the ability to make a balanced decision. The result is that you run the risk of acting irrationally and emotionally, and the result is negative consequences for you and for the situation.
In such circumstances, more so than when life is running smoothly, it is essential that you make the living Christ your Mentor and Partner. Take all of your worries, whatever it may be, to His throne of mercy and open yourself to His guidance. Be sensitive to the voice of the Holy Spirit , and follow obediently wherever He leads you. He will not disappoint you, but rather enable you to be the winner in the end.
Spiritual victory is given only to those who are ready for the battle.
